Official Municipal Stormwater Inspector – California
Earn Your California MS4 Municipal Stormwater Inspection Certification Online
California’s municipal stormwater inspection and permitting guidelines are unique from other states. California’s MS4 program regulates Phase I (over 100,000 in population) and Phase II (Populations less than 100,000), and Water Resources Control Board and Regional Water Quality Control Boards implement and enforce the MS4 program. Due to the lack of available water, population density, and type of industry in California, many regulations have been implemented to reduce pollutants and recharge dry aquifers.
In this course, you will learn how to incorporate these various regulations and inspect structural vs. non-structural controls, working with other permittees (Regional Co-Permittees, Flood Control Board, Construction permittees, Industrial permittees), and more. Most importantly, you will become qualified to inspect under the California MS4 Municipal Stormwater Permit.
